Research, scrape, and synthesize with Claude in Chrome

Claude as a web researcher

Claude with web access (either through the built-in search tool or the Claude in Chrome extension) can browse the web, extract information from pages, and synthesize findings — handling research tasks that would take you hours.

Competitor research

"Research the top 5 WordPress/web design agencies serving small businesses in Houston. For each one:
- What services do they offer?
- How do they position themselves?
- What does their pricing look like (if public)?
- What's their apparent differentiator?

Compile this into a competitive landscape table."

Client industry research

"I have a new client: [business name], a [type of business] in [city]. Before our kickoff call, research:
- The competitive landscape in their local market
- Common website features for this type of business
- Any industry-specific compliance or standards
- What successful competitors' sites do well

Give me a 1-page briefing I can use for the kickoff."

Platform research

"A client is asking whether to use Shopify or WooCommerce for their new e-commerce site. They're a specialty food brand, $200K annual revenue, not technical, with a team of 3.

Research the current state of both platforms — pricing, ecosystem, ease of use, limitations — and give me a recommendation specific to their situation."
