Capstone — build your agent workflow
Design and build a real automation for your actual work
Putting it all together
You’ve covered the theory, the tools, and the patterns. Now it’s time to build something real — an agent workflow that automates something meaningful in your business at BConverse.
Finding your highest-value workflow
- What do you do repeatedly? List 10 recurring tasks in your agency.
- Which ones have clear inputs and outputs? Cross off anything too judgment-intensive for now.
- Which take the most time per run? Prioritize by time × frequency.
- Which have the most pain? The tasks you dread or put off.
Workflow candidates for BConverse specifically
- New client intake — lead comes in, agent creates folder, fills brief, drafts kickoff email
- Weekly client status batch — read project notes for all active clients, draft status update emails
- Track B prospect finder — search for Hispanic-owned SMBs in Texas with outdated sites
- Project close package — read project history, create close summary, draft close email, archive
- Monthly agency performance report — aggregate project data, time, revenue, produce report
The capstone build process
Step 1: Choose your workflow
Pick one from the list above (or your own). It should: take 30+ minutes currently, happen regularly, and have clear inputs and outputs.
Step 2: Map it manually first
Do the task manually and document every step. This reveals: what information you need, what decisions you make, what the output looks like.
Step 3: Write the brief
Use the full delegation brief template from Lesson 13. Be specific about every element. Have Claude review it: “Is there anything in this brief that’s ambiguous or that you’d need clarified before starting?”
Step 4: Run and evaluate
Run the brief in Cowork. Note: what was production-ready, what needed editing, what was missing.
Step 5: Iterate the brief
Update the brief based on what you learned. Run again. Your goal: output that needs under 10 minutes of review and editing.
Step 6: Systematize
Save the final brief as a template. Add it to your skills library. Schedule it if it’s recurring.
Your commitment: Within the next 7 days, build one real automated workflow using Claude. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to replace something you currently do manually. That first workflow, however imperfect, will teach you more than any lesson.
The destination: An agency where the operational overhead — status updates, prospect research, report generation, client intake — is largely handled by well-designed agent workflows. You spend your time on strategy, relationships, and the work only you can do. That’s what these tools are for.
