Capstone — Your Personal Claude Routine

Putting it all together into a simple habit you'll actually keep

You’ve learned more than you think

Over this course, you’ve gone from a blank chat box to a real set of skills: starting a conversation, writing and fixing emails, summarizing documents and meetings, planning your day, giving better instructions, checking Claude’s work, and protecting sensitive information. This final lesson is about turning those separate skills into one simple daily habit.

Why a routine matters more than a single trick

The people who get the most value from Claude aren’t the ones who know one clever prompt — they’re the ones who build it into their normal workday, the same way they’d build in checking email or reviewing a calendar. A small, repeatable routine beats an impressive one-time demo.

A simple starting routine

Here’s a routine you can adopt exactly as written, or adjust to fit your role:

When What to do
Start of day Paste your task list into Claude and ask for a suggested order, factoring in your real schedule
After any meeting Paste your rough notes in and ask for a clean summary with action items and owners
Before sending a tricky email Draft it with Claude, then read it over yourself before sending
When you hit a long document Ask for a summary first, then read the full thing if it matters
End of week Ask Claude to help you draft a short status update or recap of what got done

Carrying forward the habits that matter most

  • Be specific. State the situation, the goal, and any details Claude can’t guess.
  • Treat it like a conversation. If the first answer isn’t right, just ask for the change.
  • Check anything important. Names, numbers, dates, and anything going to a client or leadership.
  • Keep sensitive information out. Use placeholders when in doubt.

Key idea: You don’t need to use Claude for everything. Pick the two or three tasks that eat the most time in your week, and build your routine around those first.

Growing from here

As you get comfortable, you’ll naturally find new uses beyond this list — that’s expected, and it’s a sign the habit is working. If your role grows more technical over time, or you want to go deeper on getting the best possible results, the flagship “Master Claude” course on this platform goes further into advanced techniques. But for now, a simple, consistent routine will take you a long way.

Try it: Pick one task from the routine table — the one that matches your real week best — and commit to trying it for the next five working days. Notice how much time it saves by Friday.
